Exceptional original Fish Chair lounge armchair, designed by Satyendra Pakhalé and produced by the Italian design manufacturer Cappellini⁠. 

The Fish Chair is one of Pakhalé’s best-known sculptural furniture designs. The design was created as early as 1996; according to the designer’s archive, it has been produced by Cappellini since 2005. The armchair is made of plastic using the rotational moulding process. 

The form is distinctly organic and, in its silhouette, recalls an abstracted fish. Particularly characteristic is the large circular opening in the side of the body, which lends lightness to the massive volume. The seat and backrest flow into one another without any visible interruption, forming a fluid, sculptural line. Pakhalé expressly conceived the Fish Chair as a relaxed easy chair for a reclined seating position and for use both indoors and outdoors. 

Condition :
The two examples are finished in white and are in used original condition. The photos show age- and use-related surface marks, light soiling, abrasion and some scratches.
