Charming Mid-Century handle vase from Bay Keramik, designed by Bodo Mans in the 1950s. The elegant, slightly waisted shape with a curved handle reflects the organic language of forms of post-war modernism and gives the piece a timeless appeal. What is particularly characteristic is the finely structured craquelé glaze in cream white with decorative line patterns in black, as well as accents in light blue and yellow. The expertly crafted surface treatment gives the vase lively depth and highlights its artisanal character. The harmonious combination of graphic decoration and sculptural form makes this piece an eye-catching decoration – both as a standalone item and with floral arrangements. An authentic collector’s piece from West German ceramics production, impressively reflecting the design quality and optimism of the 1950s. Condition: Good used condition with age-related signs of wear. The glaze shows the fine cracking typical of craquelé ceramics, which is part of the original design. Overall well-cared-for condition with no identifiable major damage, stable construction, and a beautiful patina. Item number: 15758 Dimensions: D10 x H17.5 cm
