Characterful vintage desk lamp by BAG Turgi, dating from the 1940s. The reduced, functional design language with its curved metal arm, oval base and widely flared metal shade is typical of early Swiss work and office lamps.

The lamp is finished in a dark brown tone with a structured, period-typical crinkle or textured lacquer finish. The shade is connected to the arm by a mechanical joint and can be tilted, allowing the light to be directed precisely onto the work surface. The light-coloured interior of the shade supports good light reflection.

The lamp has a pronounced aged patina, giving it a very authentic appearance. The solid oval base ensures stability, while the curved arm gives the lamp its elegant silhouette.

Condition: Authentic vintage condition with clear signs of age and use. Paint wear, scratches, small losses and signs of use are visible on the base, arm and shade. The joint also shows patina and age-related discolouration.
