Expressive glass vase from the Czech art glass production of the 1970s, designed by František Špinar. The 7609/23 model belongs to a distinctive series in which organic forms are combined with experimental glass design. The vase impresses with its exciting material contrast: the upper part is made of finely structured foam glass with dense bubble formation, creating a matte, almost frost-like surface. This calm, textured section is contrasted by the lower glass body, shaped in a flowing way, where bold colour gradients in green, honey yellow and dark accents overlap. Particularly striking is the asymmetrical shape with a gently twisted silhouette, giving the object a lively dynamism. The transitions between clear, coloured and structured glass highlight the high level of craftsmanship of the Czech studio glass production of the time. The model is documented by original design drawings and can be clearly assigned to series 7609 – a fine example of the innovative glass design of the ČSSR in the 1970s. A decorative collectible piece with a strong presence—both as a vase and as an independent work of art. Condition: Very good condition with no signs of use whatsoever. No chips or cracks.
