This compact work table combines industrial minimalism with functional simplicity and likely originates from the context of a workshop or architecture office from the second half of the 20th century. The solid tabletop is made of multi‑ply glued plywood – most likely birch multiplex with an applied maple veneer. This yields a particularly durable yet visually warm surface, characterised by a finely textured grain and a light, slightly yellow‑gold tone. The base consists of raw, galvanised steel in an angular profile, giving the table not only substantial weight but also very stable support. The legs are vertically bolted and additionally stabilised by crossbars. Condition: The table is in stable and usable condition. The tabletop shows numerous fine scratches, occasional small dents and light signs of use, which do not affect functionality and give the piece an authentic character. The metal frame shows signs of ageing such as scratches and minor oxidation spots, but is structurally sound. The lower shelf is also stable but shows visible signs of wear on the surface.
