Striking vintage pendant light in the typical Space Age design of the 1940s, attributed to or offered as a design by Vrieland Design, Holland. Particularly characteristic is the three-dimensionally shaped cream-white lampshade with its wavy or flower-like contour.

The shade is made of pressed sheet metal and has a glossy surface. The deeply moulded segments create a sculptural, almost organic impression that fits very well with the Pop Art and Space Age aesthetics of the period. The underside is also light in colour and reflects the light pleasantly into the room.

Above the shade is a cylindrical, also cream-white fitting unit with an integrated black rotary switch. This allows the light to be switched on and off directly at the fitting. It is complemented by a black cable and a black, conically shaped ceiling canopy.

Condition:
Good used vintage condition with age-related signs of use. The cream-white surface shows minor scratches, slight discolouration and isolated signs of use. There are also minor signs of age on the rim and fitting.
