Two exceptional design chairs of the Oh Chair model, designed by Karim Rashid for the Canadian manufacturer Umbra.

With their flowing, organic formal language, the chairs embody the playful yet functional furniture design of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The sculpturally formed seat shells with integrated armrests and generous oval openings give them a distinctive, futuristic silhouette.

The gently curved plastic shells rest on slim, light-coloured painted metal frames with four slightly splayed legs. Particularly characteristic are the continuous curves, the ergonomically shaped backrest and the open armrests, which give the design its light, dynamic appearance.

The originally light-coloured seat shells now show a pronounced cream to yellowish patina, giving the chairs an individual vintage character.

Condition:
The two chairs are in a clearly used condition with pronounced visual signs of ageing and wear.

The plastic shells show heavy yellowing and irregular discolouration, as well as numerous scratches, abrasions and small stains. Clear signs of use are particularly visible on the seats, armrests and edges.

The light-coloured painted metal frames also show scratches, paint abrasion and dirt. Superficial rust is visible at individual screw and fastening points.
