Exceptional vintage aluminium stool with a distinctive ribbed surface and sculptural hourglass silhouette.
The two objects each consist of two tapered, grooved metal bodies that meet in the centre. The horizontal grooves create a strong graphic effect that works very well with Space Age, Mid-Century and 1970s interiors.

The multifunctional construction is particularly interesting: the top lids can be removed, revealing the interior.

This means the stools can also be used as small storage units. The inside of the lids is finished in different colours – one light blue, one white – creating a surprising contrast with the brushed aluminium surface.

The individual elements can also be taken apart and arranged or stacked in different ways.

Condition:
Good authentic vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. The aluminium surfaces show minor scratches, abrasion, pressure marks and occasional slight dents or irregularities. Signs of use are particularly visible on the lids. The patina suits the industrial-sculptural character of the pieces well.
The coloured interiors also show age-related marks and soiling.
