Inside the notebook runs an Intel Core i5-8265U current quad-core processor of the Whiskey Lake generation – a processor model specifically developed for notebooks and ultrabooks. It operates at a base clock of 1.6 GHz and, thanks to Turbo Boost, up to 3.9 GHz. The device has no dedicated graphics card, so the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 is used. It has no dedicated memory and uses part of the 8 GB system memory when needed, which is equipped with DDR4-2400 RAM modules.

The test unit featured a 256 GB SSD as well as a 1 TB HDD. Thanks to these two storage devices, you can install the operating system and your own files on the SSD for fast booting and place additional software you use on the hard drive. Overall, you are offered sufficient storage capacity.

Furthermore, the ProBook has three USB 3.0 ports, one of which is Type-C. If you want to connect it to a projector, monitor or TV, you can use the DisplayPort or the HDMI port. The integrated card reader supports SDHC and XC cards. To ensure fast data transfers while browsing or downloading, Gigabit LAN or alternatively WLAN 802.11ac is used. If you want to pair a Bluetooth headset with the device, you can do so via the current 5.0 standard.
