I’m offering my beautiful Rolex Datejust 36 mm, reference 1601, for sale, dating from around 1970. The timeless design with the ridged 18K gold bezel, the date magnifier, the 18K gold crown, and the classic Jubilee style makes this model a true icon.

The watch originally came to me with a leather strap. Later, I fitted a high-quality signed gold/steel Jubilee bracelet (aftermarket) that is in super condition. Visually it’s almost impossible to tell apart from an original and it can be adjusted to fit almost any wrist size.

The watch runs perfectly and I only wore it occasionally, alternating it with other watches. Inside, it uses the proven Rolex calibre 1570 (COSC chronometer, 26 jewels, approx. 48 hours power reserve). Since the watch was manufactured before 1974, it does not have a quick date setting.

The serial number between the strap lugs at 6 o’clock is no longer readable due to age-related surface corrosion. This phenomenon, which is not unusual for vintage watches, does not affect either function or appearance. The movement number inside is clearly readable. The reference number at 12 o’clock is still partially visible.

The watch is in good to very good condition, is original, and runs excellently. The Rolex storage box with light signs of use and a missing crown is included.
