Spectacular large floriform table lamp produced by Maison Rougier in Canada in the early 1970s. A generous corolla made of long mother-of-pearl white acrylic petals opens out around the light source, combining slender tips, enveloping volumes and delicately curved elements. Switched off, it looks like a large abstract white flower; when lit, the slightly translucent acrylic diffuses a soft light through the different petals and reveals the full depth of its construction. The glossy acrylic finish contrasts with the gold-coloured metal base, typical of Rougier’s floral creations from this period. With its particularly generous proportions, this lamp is not just an occasional light source: it becomes the true focal point of a room, as beautiful placed on a low piece of furniture as it is shown on a pedestal. Unlabelled specimen, but whose shape, construction, materials and proportions unmistakably match the large Tulip floriform models by Maison Rougier. Dimensions: height 71.5 cm, diameter approx. 42 to 44 cm. Canada, around 1970–1975.
