The legendary Canon 50mm f/0.95, also known as the “dream lens”, offers unique image rendering and exceptional bokeh thanks to its extremely high light-gathering capability. Stanley Kubrick is said to have used this model for some scenes. What makes this rare “TV” or “Cine” version special is its original Canon 7 mount without a cut-out in the rear lens element – despite the coupled rangefinder! The lens is in good mechanical condition; the aperture and focus rings work perfectly. Optically, it shows no signs of fungus, lens separation or deep scratches. The accompanying rangefinder camera features an M39 screw mount and a dual-bayonet system specially developed for the 600-gram lens. It works perfectly at all shutter speeds. The light meter and self-timer are functional. The shutter curtain shows slight signs of use, but works perfectly. The same applies to the viewfinder and rangefinder, both of which are clear and contrasty.
