Japanese matcha set by Junzō Maekawa – handmade ceramics from Japan

Beautiful three-piece Japanese tea set made of handcrafted ceramics in bright petrol/turquoise with an artistically flowing black glaze.

The set comes from Japanese ceramic artist Junzō Maekawa (前川淳蔵) of the traditional Kenzan pottery in Tokoname, Japan.

The set consists of:

- 1 large matcha bowl (Chawan) with a practical pouring spout
- 2 matching Japanese teacups (Yunomi)

The pieces are handmade and characterised by their individual glaze, natural-coloured ceramic foot and distinctive Japanese craftsmanship. There is an embossed signature on the underside.

Purchased at the renowned The Queen Camellia Tea House on Kapellplatz in Lucerne.

A special set for matcha lovers, Japanese tea culture or as a decorative eye-catcher.

Comparable new individual pieces are offered by specialist retailers for a total of around USD 196.
