Ocho means eight in Spanish and Negro means black. The Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop Ocho Negro (SSX03W101N) is one of eight pocket watches in the Royal Pop collection. Each one features the word eight in a different language and picks up the eight visible hexagonal screws of the iconic AP Royal Oak bezel.

Ocho Negro combines a black bioceramic case with a white octagonal bezel and matching crown. The white “Grande Tapisserie” dial has hands and hour markers with Super-LumiNova Grade A and a blue glow effect. It is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating.

Eight white hexagonal screws with a vertically satin-finished surface complete the characteristic Royal Oak look.

The movement is the first ever hand-wound Sistem51. While all previous Sistem51 models including MoonSwatch were automatic, this version features a Nivachron balance spring, a 90-hour power reserve, and 15 patents arranged in a Lépine configuration with the crown at 12 o’clock.

The transparent sapphire crystal caseback shows the movement together with a digitally printed Pop Art design, as well as Swatch-x-AP branding on the dial, crown, and caseback.
