FC Sion home jersey worn for 2 seasons by the Valaisans, who finished 9th in the Swiss Super League standings at the end of 1999 and were relegated to the Challenge League for the 1999/2000 season after finishing 2nd, enabling the club to return to the 1st division.

Didier Tholot was the top scorer. The squad also included a promising young Stéphane Grichting, who later became a defender for the Swiss national team. Another Swiss international also joined the squad: right winger Marc Hottiger.
