I am selling a beautiful, structured vintage handbag / top-handle bag with an elegant ostrich leather embossing.

Colour: Classic cognac brown / medium brown with elegant gold-coloured metal details.
Design: Structured shape with an elegant clip fastening (snap closure) at the top and a sturdy carrying handle. Very spacious interior with practical compartmentalisation and an additional zipped pocket.
Condition: Good, well-maintained vintage condition with a beautiful patina. The clip fastening closes properly, and the interior is intact.

Origin of the bag: At the time, many of these elegant ostrich leather bags were made in traditional fine leather-goods workshops in Switzerland, Germany (such as Offenbach am Main, the centre of the leather-goods industry at the time) or France. The use of a Swiss branded zip fastener indicates high-quality European production.

Quality: At the time, no expense was spared on materials. The zip fasteners were made of solid brass. The slight verdigris visible on your photo on the slider and teeth is actually the best proof of this – over the decades, this occurs naturally with genuine brass (oxidation).
