For sale is an exceptional and rare masterpiece of Australian studio ceramics: a representative presentation plate by the renowned artist Bryan Trueman, dating from the 1980s / early 1990s. The piece stands out with Trueman’s iconic square-framed landscape motif (hills, trees and moon/sun), created with smoky grey and earthy stoneware glazes. At the centre, the glazes are highlighted with a striking glossy effect. Bryan Trueman (British-Australian ceramicist, represented in major museums such as the Powerhouse Collection Sydney and the Castlemaine Art Museum) Dimensions: impressive 40 cm diameter (very rare presentation size / statement piece, hand-thrown without warping)
