Belay device with assisted camming action optimized for top-rope climbing, learning and intensive use:
- allows belaying for lead climbing and top-rope,
- optimized for top-rope belaying thanks to its lockable selector button, allowing selection of the top-rope belay mode which eases taking in slack and provides more comfortable belaying,
- very high durability for intensive use thanks to the stainless steel reinforcement plate,
- belaying comfort thanks to the assisted camming: in the event of a fall or when the climber rests, the rope tightens, the cam rotates and pinches the rope to lock it.
Ease of use:
- simple rope installation thanks to engraved markings on the device,
- operating gestures common to all Petzl belay devices, based on guiding the rope through the device and keeping one hand permanently on the brake side of the rope,
- assisted camming offers large tolerance in the position of the hand on the brake side, whatever the angle between the climber’s rope and the brake side rope,
- compatible with all single dynamic ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm.
Descent control:
- comfortable grip and easy rope release thanks to the ergonomic handle,
- 3:1 handle gearing for better control of rope feeding on small diameters and less effort on the handle for larger rope diameters,
- anti-panic handle: if the belayer pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function activates to stop the descent.
