Gorgeous ceiling lamp in design “Artichoke” This lamp is crafted from sturdy opaline glass and emits beautiful light. It is in great condition and is a highly collectible item (see 1stdibs listing price).

Manufactured by Peill & Putzler, 1974, West Germany

Peill & Zoon was founded in 1903 and merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke'. During its existence, the company collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as Raak Amsterdam and Massive. At its peak (the 1950s), around 1,500 people worked for the company. In 2004, a year after their 100th anniversary, the company was unfortunately declared bankrupt.
