Beautiful Isadora Paris vintage necklace: wearable art made of Galalith The piece of jewellery shown is the “Neptune” model (also known under the “Vésuve” line), an iconic collector’s piece by the Isadora Paris label, designed by designer Danielle Poullain in the late 1970s or early 1980s Made from high-quality Galalith Design & aesthetics Style: A classic couture plastron collar (bib necklace), strongly influenced by the bold spirit of Pop Art and the geometric Art Deco revival of this era. Composition: The base is a wide, fan-shaped collar made of deep-black material, with asymmetrical-looking bulges. Set on top are three pointed, cylindrically cut spikes in contrasting block colours: royal blue, emerald green and violet. Comfort: The collar transitions into a matching black beaded necklace made of cylindrical elements and closed with an integrated screw clasp. Isadora Paris necklaces are among the most sought-after treasures of vintage costume jewellery. Founded in 1976 by French designer Danielle Poullain, the label stands for avant-garde statement jewellery that conquered the haute couture runways of Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy in the 1970s and 1980s. The hallmark of these rare collector’s pieces is the precious material Galalith – a historic, biological plastic made from milk protein, also known as milk stone. Since Galalith cannot be cast, every element of these striking necklaces was sawn, carved and perfectly polished by hand. The result is an inimitable, weighty feel and brilliant colour depth that has not faded to this day. With a signed Isadora Paris necklace, you are wearing an exclusive piece of fashion history and genuine wearable art. Details: Length approx. 222 cm Screw clasp closure
