Rotel espresso machine, more precisely the Rotel Espresso U 24.4 CH1 model. This classic pressure-pump system shares the production structure with models such as the Chamonix series from the Portuguese manufacturer Briel. 

Main features

Pressure system: A highly efficient electromagnetic pump delivers up to 15 bar of pressure. 

Controls on the front: Simple control panel with push buttons for On/Off, coffee preparation and steam activation. OK indicator light: Turns green as soon as the boiler reaches the optimal brewing temperature. Power switch: Controls the flow of electricity to the heating element. Brew button: Activates the water pump to brew the espresso into the cup.

Accessories: The traditional portafilter is located at the bottom, along with several interchangeable stainless-steel filters for one or two cups of ground coffee. 

Steam wand: Adjustable side steam wand with a nozzle for frothing milk or heating water.

Descaling: Use a commercially available liquid descaler every 3–6 months, diluted in the water tank, to dissolve mineral deposits and keep the pump pressure up. 

Filter cleaning: Clean the metal sieves after each use to prevent burnt oils from clogging the micro-perforations.

Steam nozzle cleaning: Open the steam jet for two seconds after frothing milk to remove any residue from the nozzle.
