This red, extendable metal hanging lamp is a classic of postmodern Memphis design from the 1970s and 1980s. Characteristic of this type of lamp is the adjustable pull-out system, which allows the height to be optimally adapted over dining tables or desks. 

Design details

Usual manufacturer: Mainly designed by the Dutch company Vrieland Design. Similar variants from the same period, however, were also made by Scandinavian brands such as E.S. Horn or Vitrika. 

Features: The conical shade is made of bright red, enamelled steel and is complemented by a matching spiral cable and a cylindrical ceiling rosette. Electrical 

Components: The lamp has a standard E27 socket and is suitable for 110/220-V power grids.

Price: Swiss second-hand markets: Similar Danish or Dutch vintage models in original condition often start at auctions from 90 CHF and achieve “Buy It Now” prices up to 180 CHF.
