This is the Hauck Dream N Play Plus travel cot. Folding it down can be a bit tricky if you don’t follow the exact correct order, as the side rails only release once the base in the middle is fully raised. Follow these steps to fold the cot properly: Steps for folding the cot: 

1. Remove the mattress: Take the padded insert/mattress pad out of the cot. Set it aside, as you will need it later to wrap the frame. 

2. Lift the base in the middle (important step): Find the strap or tab in the middle of the underside of the cot. Pull it firmly upward. The base should now have the shape of an inverted “V” or a pyramid. Note: If the base remains flat, the locking mechanisms of the upper rails stay blocked and cannot be released. 

3. Release the upper slats/rails: Go to one of the shorter sides of the cot. Locate the button or push mechanism underneath the fabric in the middle of the slat/rail. Lift the slat/rail slightly, press the button, then push the slat/rail down so that it folds together in the middle. Repeat the same process with the other short side and finally with the two long sides. 

4. Fold and wrap. Bring the four corners towards the centre so that the frame is fully upright and folded. Wrap the mattress removed in step 1 into the folded frame. Attach the mattress Velcro straps to the child’s cot to keep it compact.
