Special Edition DVD of the classic movie « E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial » by Steven Spielberg. This version is a German release that was originally published in 2002 for the film’s 20th anniversary. 

Details

This edition: This “remastered” version is characterised by numerous digital modifications compared to the original release from 1982: 

New scenes: Includes material that was originally not shown in cinemas, such as, for example, the bath-tub scene with E.T. 

Digital changes: Steven Spielberg used CGI technology to make E.T. more expressive in some shots and, in particular, digitally replaced the weapons of the government agents with walkie-talkies. 

Improved sound: John Williams’ film music and sound effects were completely digitally reworked for home cinema systems. 

Bonus material: Usually includes an introduction by the director and behind-the-scenes insights into the restoration.
