The 60th edition opens with a brand-new project at the Montreux Jazz Lab. Eddy de Pretto presents “Lonely Club”, a performance combining song, storytelling and contemporary dance in collaboration with choreographer Maud Le Pladec. On stage, the author of “Kid” and eight dancers explore loneliness within the group: the need to belong, tensions, fragilities. The choreography, precise and rhythmic, extends the words into a shared pulse, between collective momentum and withdrawal. A hybrid, physical show where live music and bodies in motion question what connects us as much as what separates us. Initiated at the Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, “Lonely Club” will run at a very limited selection of festivals, including Montreux.
