After having worked for a long time at the Glam Club, a sordid den of debauched alcoholics in Seoul, the young So Min-ji lands an unexpected job: she is appointed housekeeper of the Janghwa manor, the property of an extremely wealthy Korean family.
This gloomy building, lost in the mountains of Gangwon-do, remains unoccupied most of the time.
A single rule applies there: keep the premises constantly ready to receive the owners, as whimsical as they are unpredictable.
But as winter sets in, Min-ji witnesses disturbing events there...
