The characters stand for seasons (see the attached original insert) and can be swapped in the pendant. 

The black part of the pendant is a type of plastic in which you can insert the characters.

The pendant itself and one of the characters show surface imperfections, which results in a used look. The other three characters show no imperfections.

It can also be purchased on request as a bundle with another jewellery set at a lower price, because shipping is then only charged once.
