Founded in 1972 in the Vallée de Joux, Berney established itself as an atypical house, refusing to choose between mechanical tradition and quartz innovation. As early as the 1970s, its founder, Henri Berney, understood that the quartz movement, far from threatening horology, opens new creative territories — notably in the jewellery field. This intuition gave rise to unique pieces where technique serves beauty, a philosophy that still guides the family workshop today.
