For sale is a rare world time clock from The Royal Geographical Society dating from 1981, manufactured in collaboration with the Swiss watchmaker Imhof. The mechanical movement runs perfectly and ticks absolutely evenly. As it is a so-called 8-day movement, the clock is simply wound using the wheel on the back and then runs for a week. A major advantage for collectors is its completeness: all original accompanying letters, the warranty card and the detailed 1981 operating instructions are present in their original form and well preserved. Condition: The clock is in a beautiful and very good overall condition. In keeping with its age of over 40 years, there is slight wear on the edges, giving the clock an authentic patina. There is no major damage. Function: The golden ring with the Roman numerals automatically rotates forwards through the mechanical movement. The time in all the world’s time zones can be read simultaneously on the globe using this ring. Scope of delivery: - World time clock on wooden base - All accompanying original documents and letters from 1981 Transaction: Personal collection in the Sins/Zug/Lucerne area against payment on site is preferred. Shipping within Switzerland is also possible at the buyer’s express request. However, this will be sent by registered mail (Signature) and exclusively at the buyer’s risk and expense (the parcel will be packed as securely and well padded as possible).
