Viking: Battle for Asgard, an action-adventure game released in 2008 for the PlayStation 3. 

Gameplay:
Players take on the role of Skarin, a chosen champion of the goddess Freya, who fights the army of the death goddess Hel. The game combines open exploration across three huge islands with brutal combat and large-scale battles where you face hundreds of enemies.

Story:
The story is rooted in Norse mythology. Hel was banished from Asgard and now seeks to free the wolf-god Fenrir, which would trigger Ragnarök (the apocalypse). Skarin must stop Hel to save the fate of the gods and humanity.
