Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) offers an extensive single-player campaign in the vast open-world city of Los Santos and the rural Blaine County.

GTA V is set in the fictional US state of San Andreas, heavily inspired by Southern California, with the metropolis of Los Santos at its centre (based on Los Angeles).

The characters:
The story of Grand Theft Auto V is unique in that it follows three different protagonists whose lives intertwine over the course of the game:

Michael De Santa (formerly Townley):
A wealthy but dissatisfied former bank robber in the witness protection program, living in a dysfunctional family in a luxury neighbourhood. He longs for the action of his former life.

Franklin Clinton:
A young, ambitious man from South Los Santos who repossesses cars for an Armenian car dealer. He wants to break out of gang crime and get "real" career jobs.

Trevor Philips:
A psychopathic, unpredictable, and drug-dependent arms trafficker living in the Blaine County desert. He is an old partner of Michael and believes Michael abandoned him after a failed robbery years ago.
