Duke Nukem Forever is a first-person shooter, released in 2011 after a very long development period for the PlayStation 3.

The game is known for its exaggerated humour and action-packed gameplay. 

The game combines traditional shooter elements with platforming sections, puzzles and vehicle sequences.

Although it is primarily a first-person shooter, the game switches to third-person perspective when controlling vehicles such as a remote-controlled car.
