Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a first-person shooter known both for its gripping single-player campaign with a touch of humour and for its innovative multiplayer mode, regarded by many fans as one of the best in the entire Battlefield series. 

Destructible environments:
A key feature is the advanced destruction technology (Frostbite Engine 1.5). Almost every wall, building or cover can be damaged or destroyed by explosives or gunfire, dynamically affecting game tactics.

Vehicle combat:
The game is noted for top-tier vehicle combat. Players can operate a variety of vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and boats.

Class system:
In multiplayer there is an in-depth class system (medic, engineer, recon, assault), where teamwork and specialisations are crucial to success.

Realistic sound:
The game has often been praised for its outstanding sound design, which renders weapon and explosion sounds very authentically.

"Rush" map:
The "Rush" mode, where an attacking team attempts to destroy communications stations to push the map forward, was particularly popular and celebrated for its intense gameplay.
