I am selling the novel "The Call" by Peadar O’Guilin, published by Salani.
The book is in excellent condition. A perfect mix of fantasy, horror and folklore for a pitch-black fairy tale, packed with adrenaline and emotion (recommended for fans of The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones)!
Plot:
In an Ireland mysteriously isolated from the rest of the world, where technology has become useless, every teenager must face "The Call": at any moment, they may disappear and find themselves catapulted into the Grey Land, the infernal realm where the people of the Fairies were exiled thousands of years ago.
Here, naked and defenceless, the teenager has only slightly more than three minutes to escape the ruthless Sidhe and return home. To improve the chances of survival, schools throughout Ireland have been transformed into veritable military academies.
Nessa, fourteen, also knows that her time will come sooner or later, and despite her legs damaged by polio, she is determined to survive. So determined that she rejects the attentions of her friend Anto and withstands the abuse of Conor, the school bully. But what Nessa does not know is that she will soon be forced to face a threat far greater than the Call and everything she has trained for all her life…
