Schaller Krampus figurine made of German papier-mâché – INO SCHALLER, with glitter

Height: 17.5 cm
Width: 6 cm
Base diameter: 6.5 cm

This limited-edition papier-mâché figurine is handmade in Germany by INO SCHALLER, using the original antique mould.

Krampus is a figure from Alpine folklore who frightens naughty children during the Christmas season and accompanies Saint Nicholas (one of three benevolent December figures; the other two are Santa Claus and Father Frost). The pair visits the children on the night of 5 December: Saint Nicholas rewards well-behaved children with small gifts such as oranges, dried fruit, walnuts and chocolate, while naughty children are punished with birch rods.
