Vintage Katadyn water sterilizer – Art Deco ceramics ca. 1930 – Dr. C.A. Krause

Original Katadyn sterilizer, patent by Dr. C.A. Krause, from the 1930s.

These devices were previously used to sterilize drinking water. The Katadyn process works with silver ions that kill bacteria in the water – an early and innovative water treatment method.

The sterilizer consists of glazed ceramic / stoneware and features a beautiful Art Deco design with black stripes and original labeling.
