The warming stand is traditionally used as a food or plate warmer on the table. Inside the thick crystal-glass bowl, tea lights are placed. The metal plate above distributes the heat evenly to plates or serving platters set on it. The oval, wave-like ground saucer is made of solid pressed glass tinted violet (often also referred to as Pink Depression Glass). The top closes with a removable metal or chrome plate, featuring ventilation holes and embossed patterns.
