The bag is made by Dutch design duo Vlieger & Vandam from their Guardian Angel collection. Similar styles were actually very popular among celebrities including Rihanna, Rita Ora, Rumer Willis, Tavi Gevinson, and more in 2012. The brand also features knives, crosses, claws, and handcuffs on its products. Its named after the two artists who started their line as a way to highlight street violence in their native Rotterdam. In 2005, the Guardian Angel Handbags were featured in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and have been part of the collection ever since.
